Choice Plans, Inc. has been serving as an insurance broker and consultant exclusively for school districts on Long Island since 1998. Our President, Jeffrey Stewart, and Vice President, Ryan Stewart, lead the company with a focus on personalized service and deep industry knowledge.

We have been working exclusively with school districts with the great majority of them being in Nassau and Suffolk County. Because all of our clients are school districts, we have developed an exceptional understanding of how they operate in terms of group benefits and how they differ from the private sector. We handle everything from the RFP process all the way to the continued management of the policies including employee outreach and claims management and all renewals for group benefits including dental, vision, life (basic and voluntary), disability, student accident, wellness initiatives, flexible spending accounts and voluntary products such as supplemental health solutions. We never use a general agent once a case is retained, and each client will have the same contact person for all inquiries.

Dating back to 1998 we have never lost a client due to a servicing issue. Our retention rate is something that we are extremely proud of, and we feel it is a direct result of the service we provide to the district and its employees.

We currently employ 3 account managers with each having their own districts to manage. We feel that it is imperative that each client has a single contact point that can answer all questions regarding policies that they manage. We do not want our clients to reach out to the insurance carrier and talk to a general customer service reprenstive, especially if each line is with a different carrier. We pride ourselves on never missing a phone call when our clients or their employees/retirees reach out.
